Last week, I had a conversation with a childhood friend whom I got the chance to meet after so many years. We started the talk by discussing about our education, family, and relationships. After sometime we moved on to our work. He said that he started a textile business few years back and things are not going well these days.
Why do you think so? I asked him out of curiosity.
“For the last few months we are struggling with the sales. We are nowhere near the target. Frankly speaking, I’m very disappointed. I don’t know how to proceed. “He said.
“Don’t worry man. Things will be fine.” I tried to console him.
Do you have a website? What’s your online marketing strategy? I asked.
We don’t have any website. Online marketing strategy? What do you mean?
After hearing his answer, I was shocked. Here is a businessman sitting in front of me, who is reasonably well educated, living in 21st century, who don’t know the term online marketing strategy? Such a sad state of affairs.
After our conversation, I pondered over the sad reality of technology education in our society…
Today the world is mostly driven by technology and internet is increasingly becoming the driving force behind the growth of every business. Every business, whether it is small medium or big, need a good online marketing strategy to expand and grow. This is a fact that cannot be ignored by any industry.
A website is an important part of digital or online marketing strategy. Be it offline business or purely online business, to increase your acceptability you do require online presence and for that, you must have a website. No matter what kind of digital marketing strategy you have, you are bound to achieve poor results if you do not have a good website. The website is probably the best way to drive traffic home which results in growth.
Take for instance, the case of the website, feedmusic.com. Through a perfect blend of animation and video, this site shows that a website can be turned into a very engaging customer experience. Not only is Feed an interesting platform, but it also has excellent execution that go beyond our understanding of what is possible on the web. The website contains several unique features that keep the audience entertained and at the same time helps them gain informed about the worldly affairs.
Most of the digital media marketing campaigns, whether it is content marketing, email marketing, social media, blog, SEO, they all are most often targeted at driving traffic to a website. So a website is extremely important for any business which strives to expand globally.
So if are running a business, you can easily globalize it through various digital marketing techniques and through continuous effort you can make it rank globally to be accessed all over the world. The best example of this global reach would be Alibaba, a Chinese internet company that acquired the global market in no time through digital promotion.
